The Meaning of Faith

A feeling or sensation, much like gas, that has been said to have widespread healing capabilities, along the same lines as Alka seltzer. When something bad happens to good people, you can often hear people offer up the phrase "Have Faith, things will get better." Most people take this as a kind gesture, but those who have the Faith know deep down that with those little words their suffering will soon be at an end.

Finding Faith

Practiced in all major religions Faith is the universal glue that holds the universe together, without it everything would fall apart. Even the most skeptical individual eventually finds Faith in something, be it Government, Religion, Mankind or Booze. Faith can be hard to find and it can even be waning, but when you least expect it something happens to restore Faith back in your life.

Losing Faith

It should be said that although you can find Faith quickly it can just as quickly leave you. This is most likely in the most devotee of the true believers, the ones who devote their lives to Faith usually fall the hardest when the faith is misplaced. These devoted keep such a close eye on Faith and the Faith of others that they sometimes misconstrue what Faith really wants and end up loosing it when they are let down or someone that they strongly believe in let down the Faith. Usually the Faith isn't gone for very long, but when it comes back it may be different somehow. This should not be confused with misplaced Faith.

Misplaced Faith

This can be two different things, the first is when a believer thinks they are following what their faith wants, but they actually are going against the basic roots of their Faith. The second way to misplace your faith is to put it in the care of someone else, a leader figure, who may not properly know how to care for your particular faith, usually they tend to damage it in some way making it hard for you to regain the trust in your Faith.

No Faith

Once in awhile it is possible for someone to have no faith. Now you should not approach this person if you encounter them, since they will most likely want to steal your faith for their own. It is always a good idea to have some stones on you so you can keep the faithless at bay. But beware that you do not cast the first stone, for that might actually end up scaring your own faith away.
