Early Career

Often referred to as the 48th Honorary Emperor of the German Pop Charts, David Michael Hasselhoff is an American actor and musician. Emperor Hasselhoff gained instant notoriety when he was exposed for impersonating a physician in Genoa City, Wisconsin. It seems he was captured on film numerous times over a seven year span on the highly rated day-time documentary series The Young and the Restless. He introduced himself to the citizens of Genoa City and, via camera, to the United States as Dr. William "Snapper" Foster, Jr in 1975. In 1982 he and his wife Chris left Genoa City just as the rumors started to spread that Dr. Snapper Foster was actually an actor named David Hasselhoff who had appeared in Star Crash in 1979.

Restoring His Legacy

Hasselhoff returned to national prominence as Michael Knight later that year in the detective documentary Knight Rider. Michael Knight drove a car named K.I.T.T. (purportedly Knight Industries Two Thousand, though recent documentation Knights in Teutonic Territories) who could speak, and gave Michael Knight advice on a variety of topics. K.I.T.T. was also able to use a turbo speed burst once per adventure. Under the guise of Knight, Hasselhoff made major strides in cleaning up villainous criminals and masterminds across the United States.
